Taggart & Bradley Lakes Trail

Today's loop hike took us to visit two lakes dammed by glacial moraines.

First we had to cross a raging Taggart Creek - there was a substantial bridge.

Taggart Lake formed by a glacier 10,000 years ago.

Hiking along the west shore of Taggart Lake with a Teton peak in the background.

We had to climb up and over a glacial moraine that dams the end of Taggart Lake. I love the newly leafed-out Aspen trees.

Beautiful climbing trail up and over the moraine.

At this elevation and in the trees, there was plenty of snow. We couldn't follow the trail, which was covered in snow, so we followed the footprints of those who had hiked up before us.

Continuing along Bradley Lake we again came out on top of the moraine where we had our lunch.

Today's hike:
Length - 5.64 miles
Duration - 2 hours, 50 minutes (including lunch)
Elevation gain - 966 feet (80 floors on the Fitbit)
