Sunshine at 5:30 pm

Thoughts of last summer filled our day today as we waited out the rain in the Airstream with a quick visit into town, Radium Hot Springs, this afternoon. We finally saw the sun at 5:30 pm.
Rain clouds over the Columbia Valley, right outside the park.

Just past the south Park entrance and before the hot pool pavilion, the road passes through a break in the mountains.

It's an impressive passage - driving north.

There is road construction along this section, mostly the pull-outs and sidewalks. It wasn't a very nice day to be working outside.

We turned around at the pool pavilion and came back through, driving south.

We took this picture yesterday during our hike. It's the road passing through the mountain. We didn't include it yesterday because we didn't take any pictures at ground level and it would be hard to make sense of this picture without that perspective. Oh, did you enlarge the picture?

We did have some visitors to the campground though. Today it was the big horned sheep.

A youngster with short horns.

This older fellow was brave enough to come right down on the campground road. Actually, they all seem to be used to two-legged visitors in their park.
