Into Canada

The drive through northern Idaho and southern British Columbia made for a day of gorgeous scenery and perfect weather.

Crossing Pend Orielle at...

Sandpoint - about 50 miles north of Coeur d'Alene.

Schweitzer ski area on Bald Mountain above Sandpoint.

Classic railroad station.

We began to see logging trucks in northern Idaho.

Kootenai River at Bonners Ferry.

Our only road construction just before we arrived at..

Kingsgate (Eastgate on the Idaho side) entrance into Canada.

Ah! Canada.

Beginning our journey into Canada.

Very soon the Canadian...

Rockies appeared.

Our old favorite...

Fort Steele. We didn't stop.

About 2 pm we stopped for a snack...

along the fast-flowing, and muddy Moyie River.

Graphic!

Columbia Lake.

Hoodoos

Kootenay National Park

We arrived at 4:30 pm.
