Cats and dogs

Every day on our drive to and from National Jewish Health we pass the Purina building.

On one side is the dog, seen here this morning, and...

on the other side is the cat. This picture was taken this afternoon.

Day seven at Jewish National Health

It's been a long time since we have had to get up so early, 5 a.m.  Maybe the last time was when we had to catch a flight out of Providence, which always seemed to leave at the crack of dawn.

The reason for the early wake-up is so that we could see Dr. Barbara Goldstein, who specializes in rheumatilogic disease and connective tissue disease - associated interstitial  lung disease. Some of my tests came back with high numbers that might have indicated autoimmune disease, but Dr. Goldstein gave me a clean bill of health.

After a meeting with Jennifer Faber-Gerling, Dr. Kasperbauer's PA, we attended a class on antibiotics that are used to fight mycobacterial infections, little critters that are notoriously difficult to eradicate. We were given a nice hand-out which we will need to study.

Tomorrow is our last day at NJH - the time has gone by quickly.
