Okeechobee

Yep, that's where we are, in the town of Okeechobee on the north end of Lake Okeechobee, the second largest fresh water lake wholly within the boundaries of the U.S. We are staying tonight and tomorrow night at the Zachary Taylor RV Resort.  I don't think it is named after the late president because we are located right on the Taylor River and the president has no know connection with the area.  I asked when we checked in and the woman didn't know who this Zachary Taylor was.

What we learned to day is that the direction you are traveling can really make a big difference. Heading north we had a nice wind pushing us along coming out of the south. The drive was exceptionally smooth and our gas mileage was superb!

Our neighbor this evening.

The view out my kitchen window.

The Taylor River that passes by the campground.

Another view of the river. A number of full timers at this campground have docks off their site.
