Educational Milestones and a Snowy Day

I think that I mentioned that there was going to be a change in the weather - from 70 degree weather down to the 30s. While there wasn't much snow on the ground this morning, here's what the mountains around us look like today. We stayed in and did travel planning so our step count for the week, what with the trip to Calgary, is going to suffer.

Toward the west.

Across the lake, to the east.

View from the kitchen window.

We have visitors!

I have been wanting to show you these pictures and acknowledge some educational milestones.  We are very proud of our scholars and their bright futures!

The youngest - Grandson Nathan (3) on his first day at pre-school.

Proud, confident and happy!

Grandson Jacob - first day of Middle School.

Yup, that's a Middle Schooler!

Daughter Vian, with her San Francisco Medical School advisory college. If you click on the picture and make it large, Vian is the 4th from the left in the middle row. (Even if you don't click on the picture, Vian is still 4th from the left in the middle row - you just can't see her very well in this small picture!)

Vian with fellow Caltech alumnae, Karsyn (R) ad Stephanie (L).

Vian with her parents - Drs. Oliver and Sheri Huang - it's a family thing!
The occasion was Vian's "White Coat Ceremony", signifying her status as a medical school student.
