After yesterday’s tour of historic Chicken, Spike provided us we a hand-drawn map of the locations of several hikes in the area.
Chicken at bottom left, and, 31-miles later, Mount FairPlay at upper left.
There was no formal trail, just “start off on the 4-wheelers track and you’ll see the trail”. We used this pink cord and when we get to a hardware store, we’ll try to pick up some flagging tape/surveyor’s tape to mark trail transitions.
There are some prodigious mushrooms in Alaska, these are at least two inches thick.
