Pink, chartreuse and orange

It's going to be a challenging four days, getting the blog published.  It just took an hour to download these pictures. We are on the northern part of the eastern coast of Newfundland, the Bonavista Peninsula. We were sorry to leave St. John's, not the least because at Pippy Park we had the best wifi coverage ever.

The drive today was 150 miles, a bit longer than we like to travel. But the scenery has definitely changed. There are massive mountains and steep sided valleys, all covered in firs. But I think that as we go further towards the tip of the peninsula the land will revert back to the coastal bluffs.

We are staying at the Cabot Hi-Way RV Trailer Park in Charleston. It is on a private lake with a broad, sandy beach.

View down the lake. In the middle of the picture is a floating dock.

Here are some more of Newfoundland's trademark saturated colored items, this time some rocks.

Playground at the park with more colored rocks.
We love the ingenuity of the Newfouldlanders. Our fire ring is like these up by the office. They appear to be washing machine tubs that are affixed to tire rims. Good recycling.

Mary, you would like these colors!

The Airstream set up for the next four days.
