Finally Santa Fe

Santa Fe, founded around 1610, is the second-oldest city and the oldest state capital in the US. At over 7000ft above sea level, Santa Fe is also the nation's highest state capital, sitting at the foot of the glowing Sangre de Cristo mountain range.

Before we left the ABQ KOA RV park (how many abbreviations can I use?!), I just had to get a picture of this beautiful white lilac bush.

This bloom makes a nice Easter picture.

Heading north out of ABQ on I-25, the Sangre de Cristo mountains loom.

On the way up I-25 this Airstream was passing on an overpass.  What did they do to the side of it?

There are lots of hiking trails around Santa Fe and we quickly found one to stretch our legs after the long, 47 mile, drive from Albuquerque.

Sangre de Cristo Mountains from the trail.

Today's hike:
Length - 4.10 miles
Duration - 1 hour, 31 minutes
Elevation gain - 370 feet (39 floors on the Fitbit)

  2. Maybe they scratched the metal and this was the cheapest way to hide/fix it?? Or maybe this way they can pick out theirs from a caravan full of similar trailers? Happy Easter!
