Skipping stones

This is the last of our purely travel days - three in a row.  We are camped tonight on the shores of Bras d'or Lakes, at the start of the Cabot Trail. However, we will be saving travel on the Cabot Trail for when we return from Labrador. Nova Scotia is very beautiful, in a north-woods kind of way. Plus there is the ocean that surrounds this almost-island province.

As  we were crossing the Strait of Canso on the Canso Causeway, this sign welcomed us to Cape Breton  Island.

This is the shoreline, looking left, east, of Bras d'or Lakes that borders our campground, the Bras d'or Lakes Campground. It reminded us of Coeur d'Alene Lake

This if the campground "beach", looking right, west. Back to the stone beaches.

Three jet skis were buzzing around the lake.

This is Myla, one and a half, and her sister Jayden, nine years old.  Myla helped me find shells and Frederick taught Jayden how to skip stones.
