Another day of driving in the rain. Normally I like driving the NY Thruway; the scenery is pretty and the road is usually well maintained. But not in the rain. We took a long stop at about 1 pm for lunch and to let some of the rain pass.
When we got to our campground, in Schenectady, NY, (birthplace of Doris Brunner Bartz, my Mom) the office staff said that they had not had any rain yet. We got set up for the night and just made it into the Airstream before the rains arrived. We were able to go out in our rain coats, and an umbrella for the camera, to get some pictures for the blog.
Our campground is called Arrowhead Marina and RV Park, right on the banks of the Mohawk River. I'll bet it's really nice in the sunshine.
A nice boat at the "gas" dock that is available to the campers.
The Mohawk River before it joins the Hudson River.
The Airstream ready to give us shelter for the night.
