Tonight we are staying in the parking lot, right outside of a service bay, of the Can-Am RV Center. We brought our Airstream in for some warranty maintenance/work and it is taking more than one day to complete the work. Our main Zip Dee awning is electric and the programming for the opening/closing and tilting front or back is in the rear arm. Something was amiss in the back arm and when we tried to open the awning, it always opened in the front tilt position. Zip Dee sent a replacement arm and the arm is installed, but the programming has to be completed tomorrow. Instead of going back to our campground we are staying right here in Can-Am Campground. I imagine this is what it must be like when RVers stay overnight in a WalMart parking lot.
Staying in the parking lot gave us a reason to try some of our old haunts from last March when we were here to pick up our Airstream. We had dinner here, at Earl's, twice last March; we liked it so well. I had salmon.
The "open" kitchen at Earl's.
This gas fireplace is right outside the front door to the Earl's. It was really neat in March when it was dark, cold and snowy when we came for dinner. It's still nice, but doesn't have the same effect in the summer.
There's our Airstream waiting for the morning. We're inside.
There are lots of other Airstreams and other trailers all around us.
Including a behemoth of a 5th wheel.
