Hyde Park Circle Trail

Today's hike had some nice panoramic views of the Sangre de Cristo, Sandia, and Jemez Mountains which made the 1,400 ft climb "worth it".

A short way into the hike we took a spur trail of 1/2 mile to a waterfall. Because of spring run-off, there was water flowing and the sound was great.

No pictures on the way up. The trails are marked like ski runs and the trail up was a black diamond. Near the top was a picnic bench and a nice over look - our lunch spot.

View behind us and...

 in front of us.

Santa Fe at our feet.

On the way down there were more expansive views.

At the waterfall - which you can just glimpse at the top left - we finally remembered to take a selfie!

Today's hike:
Length - 4.2 miles
Duration - 2 hours, 46 minutes (including lunch)
Elevation gain - 1,420 feet (143 floors on the Fitbit)
