The best part of today was a visit from Frederick's older brother, Jim. Knowing that we were going to be in Olympia, he chose today to travel from his house in Bellingham, WA, to his home in Northern California. As we often do, we took advantage of this visit to ask if we could have items sent to his house that he would bring to us. It turns out, one of the hardest aspects of living on-the-road is that we have no good way to have package deliveries. We really appreciate when family and friends are willing to serve as a mail-box for us.
So, after Jim left to continue his travels into Oregon, it was like Christmas, sort of, as we opened packages - really exciting stuff such as a torque wrench, battery operated drill and bread mixes from King Arthur Flour.
We went to lunch at Anthony's, a regional seafood restaurant located, in Olympia, on the waterfront overlooking the large marina.
In the distance we could see the State of Washington Capital Building.
Thanks, Jim, it was so good to see you and thanks again for helping us with the packages.
