We travelled 171 miles from the bayous of southern Louisiana to the area of one of the largest concentrations of petroleum refineries in the nation - Beaumont, Texas. It's a whole different world!
We had talked with Paul earlier in the day so we were prepared for this tall bridge in Lake Charles, Louisiana, just before the Texas border.
For the past three days we have been at a campground where there was no cell phone service at all. Tonight we have 5 dots/bars. Maybe this cell tower in the back lot of the campground has something to do with the excellent coverage. I wish all campgrounds had such a tower - it's sublime!
