On to Fishing Bridge - 8/22/17

We left the Lamar Buffalo Ranch this morning to drive the 80 miles to Fishing Bridge RV park. We went via Mammoth and the North Entrance even though we had to go through road construction. Going this way we avoided towing across Dunraven Pass with its hair-pin turns.

As we left Lamar Valley we passed this stately fellow. He's a little out of focus because the camera was still set on manual focus for the eclipse. By the time we got to the buffalo wallows the camera was back on automatic.

So handsome!

Just north of Fishing Bridge, in the Hayden Valley, several herds of bison have taken up residence and...

are making good use of the buffalo wallows. Lots of dust!
